-
How does membership work?
Click Join, complete your profile, select your plan, and log into your member portal.
Once you log in, you will have instant access to your Guild Member portal, where you can access all benefits within your membership level.
-
I don't have health insurance. How can Guilds with Benefits help me?
Our Benefits page can help you decide your best path to healthcare.
-
What if my organization is a multi-member LLC, where each of our members are individual LLC's?
Guild Membership benefits flow from the Guild Member to their employee(s).
In this situation, the multi-member LLC could have its own Guild Membership, but it would only cover employees and owners of that organization- not its members.
Members of such an organization could join as Guild Members themselves so they can utilize the benefits, interact with the Guild Community as their business, choose their own retirement and health options, utilize the EAP benefits, and list themselves on our membership directory.
-
What would happen if my business joined and got on the retirement, Direct Care, and a health insurance plan, but Guilds with Benefits ceased to exist for whatever reason?
The retirement plans are 100% transferrable, meaning once you sign up, they are your plans to transfer out of our association if you choose.
We reserve the right to refund you your money if we no longer offer Direct Care.
For group health insurance, Guild Members would have a Special Election Period for loss of group coverage. This would give them 60 days to enroll in an individual plan or enroll in an employer group plan.
-
What is the Health Census?
The Health Census is a one-time survey that allows us to collect the data needed during health insurance plan negotiations with insurance carriers. Without this information, we would be unable to get group health insurance quotes.
-
How do I update my profile?
Click on the settings icon in the top right corner and select "Profile". From there, you can update your personal information, notification preferences, and privacy settings.
If you need to update your health census, simply complete a new health census. We will recognize the duplicate and use only the most recent submission.
-
How does Team billing work?
The Team Membership plan covers the business owners and their employees under one subscription. The business owner/Guild Member will be billed monthly for the entire team for any applicable membership dues, Direct Care costs, or insurance premiums.
Guild Members who are providing group health insurance to their employees are responsible for adhering to our AHP Document requirements as well as local, state, and federal laws regulating health insurance, contributions, payroll deductions, etc. for themselves and their employees.
Health insurance premiums may be collected on a date separate from your membership dues date.
-
Can I add my family members to my Direct Care plan or Health Insurance plan?
Yes!
For Direct Care, you can add up to 1 additional adult and any children you have (if applicable). Changes can be made any time.
For Group Health Insurance, you can add qualifying family members during open enrollment or within 30 days of a qualifying life event (marriage, birth, adoption).
-
What if I'm on Marketplace insurance and want to switch to a GwB health insurance plan?
Once health insurance plans are available, you will be able to view our plans and join our group plan during our open enrollment period.
You don't need a qualifying event to cancel your Marketplace insurance. You can end your coverage at any time, but you must follow the cancellation process on HealthCare.gov or your state's marketplace website.
If you are getting new coverage, it's crucial to time the cancellation so you don't have a gap in insurance.
-
What if I need to make changes to my Directory listing?
Simply log into your Member portal and select the Directory button. Complete a new directory listing, and once it’s submitted, we will replace your old directory listing with the new one within a few days.
-
Are my personal details secure?
Yes, we take security seriously!
We only collect basic information on members, including their names, dates of birth, zip codes, and contact information. We do not collect or store any clinical data.
All personal information is encrypted, and we comply with all privacy regulations.
-
How do I change or cancel my membership?
You may update or cancel your membership any time by logging into your member portal and clicking the Manage Subscription option.
As a reminder, Membership dues, Direct Care costs, and insurance premiums for you, your family, and your employees are non-refundable.
